How these radii are computed
Scaled from 1 kt reference distances with the standard scaling laws in Glasstone & Dolan,
The Effects of Nuclear Weapons (1977): blast overpressure with Y1/3, thermal
fluence about Y0.41, fireball about Y0.4, prompt radiation about Y0.19.
Results are within roughly 10–20 % of published figures for a clear day, flat terrain and the
height of burst that maximises 5 psi. Fallout, terrain shielding and weather are not modelled.
